GETTING HERE:

Bus

Wakefield Exchange is on Union Street, directly next to Wakefield Bus Station and opposite Trinity Walk Shopping Centre. There is a free city bus linking to both train stations.

Train

Wakefield Westgate is a short 13-minute walk from Wakefield Exchange and Wakefield Kirkgate is 17 minutes away on foot.

Car

With a short drive from both the M62 and M1, WX is easy to reach. There is no parking on site, however there are multiple pay and display car parks in the surrounding area, as well as Trinity Walk Shopping Centre. You can find out more about the available parking locations in the city, via the main Wakefield Council website.

Exhibitor Information

WHO’S ATTENDING?

  • Please confirm prior to the event, who will be assisting you on your stand.
  • There will be registration for exhibitors so please don’t forget to sign in. This is for H&S reasons should there be a need to evacuate the building so no one is left behind.
  • A safety briefing will be given prior to the EXPO.

DRESS CODE

  • There is no official dress code

SETTING UP

  • There will be a rota for unloading vehicles – please stick to your allocated time.
  • The gate to the WX yard is just off a little roundabout at the back of the bus station – accessed via Borough Road/Providence Street. 
  • Sat Nav – use postcode WF1 3AZ.
  • After unloading on the day, you must move your car to a long stay car park.
  • Set up available from Monday 9th March from 1pm until 3.30pm only. 
  • Tuesday 10th March – doors open from 8am
  • All stands must be set up and ready for the first visitor at 9.30am

STAND & LOCATION

  • If you have requested power to your stand this will have been allocated. 
  • Table size : 6ft table with 1 metre space behind
  • The stand comes with a table, 2 chairs & a white cloth

MORNING SESSION

  • (9.30am – 12.15 pm) :  doors open 9.30am

AFTERNOON SESSION

  • (12.45pm – 3.00 pm) :  doors close 3.00pm

LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS

  • There is an allocated lunch break for exhibitors from 12 noon – 12.45pm.
  • Please do not bring your own food or that purchased from outside of WX.
  • Refreshments are not free of charge and can be bought at the various venue vendors on site.
  • We kindly ask that no food is consumed at your stand.

ON THE DAY SUPPORT

  • The Expo Team will be available throughout the day if you need any support—walkie-talkie in hand, trying to look important! Just look out for the white T-shirts with the Expo logo.
